The Dīgha Nikaya (collection of long discourses of the Buddha) can be daunting to modern readers due to the sheer length of the individual discourses and the broad range of topics they address. They are also quite cinematic and rewarding those who persist in reading them with stories of vibrant characters and colorful portrayals of life in ancient India.
This year we will be studying the twenty-first discourse of the collection, Sakkapañha Sutta, over a series of sessions. Participants are encouraged to study through the assigned course materials before each class. A live zoom group Q&A session with Bhante will be held twice a month. Please kindly submit your questions at least one-day before each session.
